Club finds ‘key’ sponsor!

Former Bootneck and Master Locksmith, Ronnie Regan becomes the latest business to sponsor our Club. A A J Locksmiths has provided their expertise and help with our gig trailer by supplying additional hitch lock keys and a wheel clamp. In addition, his sponsorship also extends to financial support which will assist us with our operating costs.

Ronnie’s business operates in and around Plymouth, South Hams & Cornwall which just happens to be the same geographical area that we will be rowing, both when we are training and our competitive rows!

A very interesting postscript to this story is that Ronnie’s partner, Elaine, is joining our ranks as an active member.

Ronnie commented on why he wanted to sponsor:

I've seen what you guys have achieved over the last six months and wanted to help. My chance arrived when your Chairman, Dave, contacted me  in my capacity as a locksmith, asking for help with trailer locks and a wheel clamp. I would really like to assist the club in any way I can on any future maintenance of your equipment etc.

I'm not a rower, Dave and Tony (Bamborough, one of our members and former Royal Marine) will tell you, I was never big on the physical side on things, even while serving in the Royal Marines. I am also happy to support the club with a monthly donation, and my partner Elaine is keen to join the gig club as a rower. I'm looking forward to being part of this team, and supporting the Royal Marines Charity
