Tamar Valley Winter League Cancelled

Hot on the heels of the sad news that the 2021 World Pilot Gig Championship (WPGC) has been cancelled, it was recently announced that the Tamar Valley Winter League will not be taking place in 2020/21.

With the current Cornish Pilot Gig Association (CPGA) restrictions on competitive rowing between clubs and the fact that some clubs have not as yet returned, organisers had no option but to cancel the forthcoming season.

This news is particularly sad as the RMA Gig Club made its debut appearance in the 2019/20 Winter League and everyone in the Club was looking forward to competing against local gig clubs again.
