Club Chairman hits the waves… the airwaves!

Following the news that the World Pilot Gig Championship (WPGC) 2021 has been cancelled due to the uncertainty over the Covid-19 pandemic, Heart Radio contacted our Chairman, David Brain, to get his thoughts and the impact of the decision to the Club.

David explains the disappointment within the Club, particularly after the incredible fundraising efforts and generosity of our sponsors and supporters in acquiring our wooden gig boat ‘Cockleshell’.

However, the Club’s ethos remains the same – enjoy our rowing and do our best in every race that we compete in. Plans are afoot for WPGC 2022!
